Our Mission

Till 2022, our beloved country INDIA has got a golden 53 years history of organising International Film Festival of India, held annually in Goa. Our beloved city Kolkata, the City of Joy, is also having a 28 years old International Film Festival, but till date the country doesn’t have any annual International Film Festival especially dedicated to Sports, but the Indians are believed to be a sports fanatic countryman.

Incidentally, Bengal & Bengali language is the pioneer to initiate the Indian Sports Movie genre by presenting multi starrer comedy “DhonniMeye” in way back in 1971.

In view of that, to commemorate the effort of Bengal, “Social Sports Foundation”, a Kolkata based registered Trust have decided to host a full-fledged International Sports Film Festival annually in Kolkata, India titled “BULLS EYE – International Sports Film Festival of India”.

Our Background

To plan, curate & execute different UNIQUE social & sportive events and to support under privileged Kids, financially disable sports stars belongs to the Societies of Kolkata and or of West Bengal, the Social Sports Foundation (SSF), a TRUST is being created initially with 3 person (viz. Rongon Majumder, Kapil Saha& Koushik Kundu) having the plan to expand in activities and include notable and important person of the society in due course. The Trust will plan and arrange finance through the curated EVENTS to meet-up the requirements of such different needs.

  1. 1. Since the era of silent movie, to till date, almost 125 years of proud journey by International as well as Indian Cinema there are following 11 nos. International Festivals are being organised throughout the World for the Films specially dedicated to sports in genre.

Researchers say in India, Bengali is the language in which the first ever full-fledged Sports movie, “DhonniMeye” was being released as a comedy film. Even the city, Kolkata is also a proud host for an International Film Festival for last 28 years. But our beloved country, India, though has got a golden 53 years history of organising International Film Festival of India annually in Goa, but alas, till date the country doesn’t have any annual International Film Festival especially dedicated to Sports, but the Indians are believed to be a sports fanatic countryman.
